Laparoscopic Surgery Pioneer Invents New Device; Patton Surgical to Develop the Hasson H2(TM)
Hasson H2(TM) Will Launch Patton Surgical's MD Signature Series(TM)AUSTIN, Texas--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Patton Surgical has announced that it is developing the Hasson H2(TM), a laparoscopic access device created by renowned surgeon Harrith Hasson, MD. It is the first device being developed by Patton Surgical under its MD Signature Series(TM).

The Hasson H2(TM) is a second-generation cannula for both open and closed laparoscopic access which provides superior functionality over traditional cannulas, including improved stabilization and reduced loss of pneumoperitoneum during surgery. It will be launched in early 2007 and marks the first offering from the MD Signature Series(TM). As part of the Patton Design Shop, the MD Signature Series(TM) is a platform for surgeons who see a need for an improved surgical device and are ready to work in partnership with a proven development team to make their vision a reality. The MD Signature Series(TM) features products designed by surgeons for surgeons.
