Genasense(R) Marketing Authorization Application in Melanoma Accepted for Review by European Regulatory AgencyBERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J., Feb. 1 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- Genta Incorporated (Nasdaq: GNTA ) announced that the Company has received notice from the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) that its Marketing Authorization Application (MAA) for Genasense® (oblimersen) has been validated for review by the Agency, which signals the start of the scientific assessment procedure. The application proposes the use of Genasense plus dacarbazine for treatment of patients with advanced metastatic melanoma, particularly for patients for normal baseline levels of serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH).
