Ascension Orthopedics Appoints Robert Martin As CEO

AUSTIN, Texas, March 20 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- The Board of Directors of Ascension Orthopedics, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Martin to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this appointment, Martin served as President of the company.

Martin joined Ascension Orthopedics in 2000 as the Vice President of International Sales and Marketing and was based in Dusseldorf, Germany. When the company's PyroCarbon finger joint became the first two-component MCP total joint replacement to receive FDA Premarket Approval (PMA), Martin was promoted to Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing based in Austin, Texas. Martin became President of the organization in April 2005.
