Advanced Biomaterial Systems Announces Direct Sales Force for Interventional Spine and Orthopedics
CHATHAM, N.J., March 21 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- Advanced Biomaterial Systems, Inc. (ABS) has initiated the development of a direct field sales force specifically to support interventional spine and orthopedics markets, signifying a substantial commitment to the growth of its core business.Breaking with large-company trends toward distributor sales models, ABS is committed to development of direct sales of all of its products. "A focused, direct sales force is the right business model for our current product offering, as well as the products and procedures in our development pipeline," states CEO Peter Carr. "The first critical step was to add the right person to our senior management team to head up this effort," adds Carr. In January, ABS welcomed Joey Robinson as Vice President, Marketing and Sales. "She brings direct experience from all sides of the interventional spine market, biomaterials, and orthopedics."
"We can provide unparalleled support for the physicians in these markets through a combination of dedicated service and product innovation. Our ability to focus is one of our unique strengths," comments Robinson. "ABS has superior products in its offering now, and a rich pipeline of outstanding products that will continue to enhance patient care in percutaneous procedures. The missing piece has been the dedicated field sales force that can support the physicians on a regular basis all over the US."
ABS has identified approximately 20 key geographies to be grown within the next two years; additional growth will be supported by the addition of product lines and the creation of additional territories to allow for continued service of every account.
