Solos Endoscopy, Inc. Appoints Medical Technology Executive as Acting Vice President
BOSTON, MA--(Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network)--May 9, 2006 -- Solos Endoscopy, Inc. (Other OTC:SLSE.PK ) is pleased to announce that the Company has appointed medical technology executive Dom L. Gatto as acting Executive Vice President. Mr. Gatto's responsibilities will include handling all aspects of the sales and marketing, operations, and new product introductions. Additionally, he will oversee all business development activities of the company. Mr. Gatto previously lead the clinician team in their product development projects for Solos.Mr. Gatto received his B.A. from Quinnipiac University and has attended the Executive Management Program at UCLA's John Anderson School of Business. Mr. Gatto started out his career as a product manager for one of the world's largest producers of medical textile products, CoNco Medical Corporation. Mr. Gatto later worked with Merocel Corporation which became Xomed Inc., where he formed a new business unit to design, develop, manufacture, and market minimally invasive ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) products. Mr. Gatto developed the operation to the point where it was financially successful within its first year of sales, reaching $2 million in revenues. He has also successfully developed and launched a product line of innovative minimally invasive handheld sinus instruments and a self-irrigating powered tissue removal system, the first of its kind, for the ENT market. He then went on and founded MedTREK Corporation in 1997. MedTREK developed and distributed patented sinUS Endoscopy instrumentation. In 2000, after establishing the product line and worldwide distribution rights for MedTREK Corporation's products, Mr. Gatto joined the start up breast cancer detection company Acueity, Inc. as Senior Vice President of Operations.
