AGA Medical Files Suit in Germany Alleging Patent InfringementMINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 28 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- AGA Medical Corporation ("AGA") today announced that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Occlutech GmbH, headquartered in Jena, Germany, and DRABO Medizintechnik, located in Cologne Germany. AGA is the owner of a European patent (EP 0 808 138) validated in Germany (DE 695 34 505) for intravascular occlusion devices and the method of forming or manufacturing these medical devices. The patent issued in October 2005. The action, filed in Dusseldorf, requests damages against Occlutech, DRABO, their CEOs and further requests a permanent injunction prohibiting them from manufacturing and marketing infringing "Figulla Occluder."
