Viking Systems, Inc. and ForTec Medical Enter Into Agreement to Expand Delivery of 3Di Digital Vision System

SAN DIEGO--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Sept. 12, 2006--Viking Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: VKSY ), a designer, manufacturer and marketer of 3-D vision systems for use in minimally invasive surgical (MIS) procedures, has expanded access of its 3Di Digital Vision System to surgeons and hospitals through an agreement with ForTec Medical Inc. ForTec Medical, the leader in surgical laser and image systems mobile rental business, will add the 3Di System to its product offering while ForTec expands its business beyond Urology into the Gynecology and Bariatric surgical specialties.

Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations at Viking Systems, Lonna J. Viking Systems and ForTec Medical will begin operations in the North Central and Southeastern United States with plans for future expansion.
