Consorta Extends Two Contracts with Kodak's Health Group

Three-Year Extensions Enable Consorta Members to Continue Purchasing Kodak's Latest Digital X-Ray and Laser Imaging Systems

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Consorta, Inc., a leading U.S. healthcare group purchasing organization, has extended two contracts with Eastman Kodak Company that will make KODAK digital imaging products available to 2,400-plus Consorta members through August 2009.

Under one contract, Consorta members -- comprised of faith-based and non-profit health systems, including hospitals and out-patient imaging centers -- will be able to purchase KODAK computed radiography (CR) and Digital Radiography (DR) medical imaging systems. Under the second agreement, members will be able to purchase KODAK laser imaging systems, medical x-ray films and mammography films.

These products, offered through Kodak's Health Group, include:
  • KODAK DIRECTVIEW CR 500, CR 850 and CR 975 systems, as well as KODAK DIRECTVIEW DR 3000, DR 7500 and DR 9000 systems. KODAK CR and DR systems enable radiologists to quickly capture and view digital x-ray images, helping to improve workflow and enhance patient care.
  • KODAK DRYVIEW Laser Imaging Systems, laser film and service. KODAK DRYVIEW Laser Imaging Systems enable radiology departments to print medical images from a variety of modalities, including MRI, CT scan and ultrasound machines, as well as DR and CR systems. Even as medical facilities move toward digital imaging, many physicians still require hardcopy images for patient consultations and physician referrals. "Kodak is a highly reliable and respected resource in digital medical imaging technologies," said Dan Ingram, Director of Imaging and Cardiovascular Services for Consorta. "By renewing these agreements, we can continue to offer Kodak's innovative products to Consorta's membership for the next several years."
Kodak has had a long-standing relationship with Consorta, a leading healthcare resource management and group purchasing organization, for more than eight years.
