Teleflex Medical Launches the Comfort Flo(TM) Humidification System
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Teleflex Medical announced today the launch of the Comfort Flo Humidification System, an innovative product that facilitates the comfortable delivery of high flow respiratory gases. Comfort Flo is designed to deliver high-flow, heated, humidified oxygen through a nasal cannula to adult, pediatric, infant and premature patients. High-flow therapy allows spontaneously breathing patients to comfortably receive a wide range of flows (1-40 LPM) to deter from more invasive and often more expensive therapies.Comfort Flo is conveniently packaged in a kit that includes a custom Concha-Column®, a single limb, smooth-bore, heated-wire circuit, an adaptor and supply tubing. The system is completely disposable, minimizing the risk of cross-contamination and bacteria growth. The nasal cannulas are designed to deliver flow rates from 1-40 LPM and are available in a wide range of sizes. The system is designed for use with the ConchaTherm® family of heated humidifiers.
