About HydroMedix Group, Inc.
We are in the business of developing medical devices which accelerate the rate of healing of certain types of injuries, and, upon completion of development of the product and appropriate testing, we intend to market our product to a diverse market clientele, including medical offices, hospitals, long-term care facilities and physical therapists.
Our product is a safe and effective provider of hydrotherapy, a commonly used, medically accepted and known to be effective method by which water is used to treat muscle soreness. Our product provides the user with the therapeutic benefits of hydrotherapy without actually exposing the patient to water. In addition, our product may be used to provide icing, heat and whirlpool treatments in a manner which management believes provides the user with a greater degree of control and ease of use as compared to any of the traditional forms of hydrotherapy.
Water is an effective conductor of heat and is traditionally used to increase blood and lymphatic circulation. Our product can be used to combine the medical benefits of heat treatments with massage to stimulate the subject's muscle, leading to an increase in molecular motion in the skin which aids the healing process. Our product is particularly helpful when trying to use heat to treat localized areas of hyperirritability, or trigger points, in the muscles, to help ease any spasms and pains afflicting the patient. Our management believes that our product could also be used to effectively treat joint problems, such as tension and weakness in joints or a limited range of motion in joints.
HydroMedix may also be used for cold therapy, which helps reduce swelling by slowing the flow of blood and other fluids to an injured area. Cold therapy is routinely used for the treatment of sprains, strains and bruises as well as post-operative treatments such as retarding the formation of a hematoma.
- Plastic surgery post-operative recovery systems. Applications such as a facemask for providing gentle pressure, cooling or heat with the ability to receive a dry-whirlpool sensation helping to reduce swelling and speed recovery; a breast and torso application to assist with pain management from breast augmentation or reconstruction; and compression garments with temperature control and massage to reduce the post surgical complications from edema and swelling.
- Orthopedic Surgery, post-op treatment and Pain Management, also management of edema and swelling that will occur after any elective or traumatic procedure.
- Human healthcare. A mattress motion device designed to slow the onset of decubitus (bed) sores; and a wheelchair pad for quadriplegic patients to help control pressure sores.
- Sports injury rehabilitation. Appendage pieces for the treatment of body parts which are commonly injured by athletes, including the foot, ankle, knee, shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist.
- Veterinary equipment providing controllable icing or heating pressure and massage for use in treatment of equine legs, hoofs, back, shoulders and neck.
Our management believes that users of our products are likely to see an increase in circulation, mobility, tissue healing and overall relaxation with decreases in muscle spasms and metabolic toxins.
