Fresenius Medical Care Completes the Acquisition of the Phosphate Binder Business From Nabi Biopharmaceuticals

KGaA (NYSE:FMS ; FWB:FME) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of the worldwide phosphate binder business (PhosLo) from Nabi Biopharmaceuticals Inc.With the acquisition, Fresenius Medical Care further expands its market position in the field of dialysis-related drugs. PhosLo is a calcium acetate phosphate binder for oral application in end-stage renal disease patients.
