President of the Society of Ophthalmology Will Present the Latest Developments of Pneumatic Trabeculoplasty at Milan Meeting

FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Ophthalmic International (www.ophthalmicinternational.com), the wholly owned subsidiary of Coronado Industries (OTC BB: CNDO; www.coronadoindustries.com), said today that Professor Corrado Balacco Gabrieli of the Universita degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza" Department of Ophthalmological Sciences and the current President of the Italian Society of Ophthalmology, will be discussing the development of Pneumatic Trabeculoplasty (PNT) in his talk at the upcoming meeting of the Italian Society of Ophthalmology (SOI). The meeting, which is to be held in conjunction with the Italian Glaucoma Society, will be from November 29 - December 2, 2006 in Milan, Italy.

In making the announcement, Dr. John Sharkey, President of Ophthalmic International, said that the Company was delighted to learn that Prof. Balacco Gabrieli had elected to use one of his main speaking opportunities at this year's meeting to present on PNT, the Company's propriety treatment for the management of elevated pressure associated with open angle Glaucoma and ocular hypertension. "Italy was one of the first countries to embrace the product and the Italian Glaucoma community has been actively involved in better understanding the procedure and how it can be incorporated into the treatment regime of the Glaucoma patient. With this in mind, we are so very pleased that one of Italy's leading ophthalmologists has chosen to discuss PNT at this gathering of so many of his peers," he said.

Dr. Francesco Aspes, Head of Europe for Coronado, said that presentations such as that made by Prof. Balacco Gabrieli are important in providing accurate information on the most current developments to practicing ophthalmologists in a timely fashion. "Ophthalmologists need to have this kind of access to the current thinking on how new treatment approaches for Glaucoma can be incorporated into their own patients' treatment plans. Meetings such as these, which attract a number of international attendees, present an excellent opportunity for active discussion amongst some of the world's leading Glaucoma experts and allows them to share their current thinking on patient care and the best ways to incorporate newer approaches into their treatment plans," he said.

The 86th Congresso Nazionale Societa Italiana di Oftalmologia (SOI) will be held from November 29th to December 2nd, 2006 in Milan, Italy.

Ophthalmic International is focused on the development and commercialization of its patented procedure as a cost-effective alternative for the treatment of the most common types of Glaucoma which are open angle and pigmentary as well as for the treatment of ocular hypertension.
