CryoCath hires Chief Financial Officer
MONTREAL, Dec. 15 (HSMN NewsFeed) - CryoCath Technologies Inc., the global leader in cryotherapy products to treat cardiovascular disease, today announced that it has hired L. Derek Lindsay as Chief Financial Officer."Derek brings with him a strong operational finance background, particularly in reporting and forecasting together with long experience in business development. As well, he has a successful track record of achieving objectives through innovative thinking and an effective management style," said Henri Vienneau, Interim CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors. "His addition to CryoCath helps to solidify our management team as we step up Arctic Front(TM)'s commercialization across Europe and advance our pivotal STOP AF trial in the U.S."
Mr. Lindsay is a seasoned financial executive with extensive international experience. He joins CryoCath from Sierra Financial Corp., a consulting company offering financial, strategic and capital markets advice, where he served as partner. Prior to this post, Mr. Lindsay served as Vice President, Finance & Administration for Aeroplan. Mr. Lindsay also brings wide experience from various senior financial roles at BCE, Bell Canada International where among his positions he served as the CFO of Comcel, one of South America's largest cellular phone companies, Imasco and Wood Gundy. Mr. Lindsay holds an MBA from the Tuck School of business at Dartmouth and a Bachelor of Arts, Economics and French, from Middlebury College.
