ESTECH to Highlight New Least Invasive Valve (LiV) Kits at Society of Thoracic Surgeons' 43rd Annual Meeting

LiV Kits Enable Cardiac Surgeons to Perform Valve Repair and Replacement Procedures

SAN DIEGO--(HSMN NewsFeed)--ESTECH will showcase its new CG LiV Kits(TM) at the Society of Thoracic Surgeons' 43rd Annual Meeting in San Diego, an international meeting where cardiothoracic surgeons learn the most up-to-date information on research and surgical techniques including Least Invasive Valve repair and replacement procedures. ESTECH has developed specialized LiV Kits to enable Mitral and Aortic valve procedures.

CG LiV Kits were developed to allow surgeons to safely and easily implement the advanced heart valve procedures pioneered at New York University Medical Center by innovative surgeons Drs. Stephen B. Colvin and Aubrey C. Galloway.

Mike Dominici, Director of Marketing at ESTECH said, "The CG LiV Kits, represent a major advance in least invasive techniques for both Aortic and Mitral Valve disease. The Mitral Valve Kits include the new ClearViewMV(TM) Atrial Depressor that allows surgeons to gain better exposure of the mitral valve thus enhancing the ability for surgeons to do a superior repair or replacement with the smallest of incisions."

The ESTECH CG LiV Kits deliver the highest quality devices with cutting edge technology into the hands of cardiac surgeons who want to offer their patients a least invasive surgical approach. Least invasive surgical procedures can provide patients with a quicker recovery and faster return to normal activities.

Stephen B. Colvin, M.D., Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at New York University Medical Center stated, "The ESTECH CG LIV kits for valve surgery facilitate the minimally invasive techniques that we developed at NYU." Dr. Colvin added, "These products make minimally invasive valve surgery easier and safer for other centers to adopt, allowing surgeons to provide reduced surgical trauma and improved patient outcomes."

The CG LiV Kits include everything the surgeon needs for enabling valve procedures; the STAR(TM) (Soft Tissue Atraumatic Retractor) and ClearViewMV(TM) Atrial Depressor provide access and exposure, and ESTECH's innovative cannula offerings, the FlexFlow(TM) and RAP FV(TM) Venous Cannula, EasyFlow(TM) Aortic and RAP® Femoral Arterial cannula which are key components for minimally invasive techniques.
