Mallinckrodt Ultra-TechneKow(R) DTE Generators RecalledST. LOUIS, March 13 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- Mallinckrodt Inc., a business unit of Tyco International's Healthcare segment, has initiated a voluntary recall of Mallinckrodt Ultra-TechneKow® DTE Generators (Technetium Tc-99m Generators) manufactured on or after February 23, 2007, due to a single questionable sample identified during routine sterility assurance testing of a recent generator production run.
The recall is effective immediately and the manufacturing of these products has been suspended until at least early April to allow sufficient time for the production process to be revalidated.
Total sales of these products in the first quarter of fiscal year 2007 were less than $15 million.
