A-1 Laser International Formed with Licenses of LPL System
Anaheim, CA, April 13 --(HSMN NewsFeed)-- A-1 Jay’s Machinery Inc. announced the formation of a newly formed medical group called A-1 Laser International today at the Medical Design and Manufacturing West Show at the Anaheim Convention Center.A-1 Jays has been the exclusive fabricator of machine parts for LPL Systems since 2001. With the recent purchase of LPL Systems, Inc. A-1 Laser International was formed to specialize in the design and fabrication of precision components and cutting-edge medical devices.
A-1 Laser offer precision through-cutting, encompassing a broad range of industrial applications including:
- Interventional Devices (Stents, catheter components, etc.)
- Medical Device Manufacturing (minimally invasive surgery (MIS))
- Other "Tubing" related products
LPL had achieved global recognition as being the technological leader in hypo-tube medical device fabrication. LPL was the first company to introduce an industrialized laser cutting system for Stents.
LPL Company Milestones:
- Developed Excimer micromachining system for the manufacture of space-borne photo detector arrays in 1991.
- Introduced the first industrialized laser cutting process for Stents in 1993, and shipped multiple units through 1994.
- Engineered and constructed 3-wavelength UV/IR laser system for an academic R&D lab in 1994.
- Collaborated with over 45 companies, inventors and physicians in the design, analysis, and optimization of various interventional devices, including 33 stents.
- More than 19 Endovascular devices have originated and been engineered in-house since 1996.
- Developed a radioactive seed welding system for Brachytherapy applications in 1999.
- Sold and installed a total of 172 Laser Stent Cutters as of Jan, 2007.
