MTF Signs Marketing Agreement with ETHICON, Inc., for FlexHD(TM) Acellular Dermal Matrix

EDISON, N.J., April 30 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation (MTF), the world's largest tissue bank and ETHICON, Inc., have signed an exclusive marketing agreement. Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, ETHICON, through the ETHICON Products Division, will be MTF's exclusive representative for the marketing of FlexHD(TM) Acellular Dermal Matrix.


FlexHD is a unique aCellular Matrix, derived from donated human allograft skin. FlexHD provides excellent biomechanical strength, resistance to stretching and the added benefit of prehydration. It does not require refrigeration for onsite storage, resulting in a tissue graft that is easily accessible and ready for surgeon selection at all times.

In accordance with MTF's commitment to the stewardship of the donated gift, MTF, a non-profit organization, will maintain full responsibility for all activities related to donor suitability, quality acceptance, processing, storage and distribution of the tissue as well as reimbursement of service fees related to FlexHD. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ETHICON will begin marketing FlexHD, in conjunction with MTF's allograft specialists, throughout the United States during the month of May.
