HEALTHPOINT's J.R. Locey Promoted to Vice President of Strategic and Business Development

FORT WORTH, Texas, May 17 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- Robert E. Bancroft, General Manager of Healthpoint, Ltd., recently announced that J.R. Locey has been appointed Vice President of Strategic and Business Development for Healthpoint, a part of DFB Branded Pharmaceuticals.

As VP of Strategic and Business Development, Mr. Locey will consolidate Healthpoint's business development activities and new product development efforts into an integrated new technology strategy that supports and drives the division's strategic plan, according to Mr. Bancroft. He will work closely with the company's rapidly growing Research and Development and Clinical Affairs teams.

"J.R.'s leadership and performance have been outstanding -- a consummate professional who mentors others with a constant drive to succeed that has greatly benefited our growing organization," said Mr. Bancroft. "He helped us develop our 2006 business plan and 2007 strategic plan. Such guidance and experience are invaluable."

Mr. Locey was most recently Director of New Business Development for Healthpoint's Tissue Management group. In that role, he spearheaded efforts for Healthpoint's acquisition of Advance Biofactures of Curacao N.V. as well as SantylŪ Collagenase.

Mr. Locey has almost two decades of experience in sales management, training, sales and marketing. He joined Healthpoint Tissue Management in 1993 as a sales representative, and earned Rookie of the Year and Sales Representative of the Year while in that role. In 1996, he was promoted to Southeast Division Manager.

In 1999, Mr. Locey took the post of Marketing Director of Tissue Management's Wound Management section. He became Western Regional Sales Director for Tissue Management in February, 2001.

Prior to joining Healthpoint, Mr. Locey held sales positions with Pitney Bowes and Minolta Business Systems. He is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University.
