Center will also serve as a European training facility for TomoTherapy Incorporated

MADISON, Wis.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--May 23, 2007 marked the launch of a unique partnership for training and patient care between TomoTherapy Incorporated (NASDAQ: TTPY ) and the newly-formed University Radiotherapy Center of Antwerp. Participating members include University Hospital Antwerp and the Antwerp City Hospital Network.

Two TomoTherapy® Hi-Art® treatment systems have been installed on-site at University Hospital Antwerp. Through the University Radiotherapy Center, both member hospitals will use Hi-Art treatment systems to treat cancer patients with advanced image-guided, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IG/IMRT). And, through collaboration with TomoTherapy, the machines will also be available for training physicians, hospital staff and TomoTherapy employees while still providing uninterrupted patient care.

According to International Marketing Manager Chris Hasler, TomoTherapy values this opportunity to collaborate with leading public and private medical institutions in Belgium. "This partnership makes it possible to combine training and patient care in a unique setting," says Hasler. "The training component demonstrates our commitment to the European market and to customer support."

Participating hospitals see immediate benefits of combining patient care and training in the same facility.

"With the installation of two Hi-Art Systems, the University Radiotherapy Center positions itself at the forefront of cancer therapy in Belgium," says Antwerp University Hospital Head of Communication Tom Meulenbergs.

"The training center is of particular importance for Antwerp University Hospital," says Meulenbergs. "As an academic center of excellence, it places high value on offering the best possible patient care through continuous innovation. The combination of training and treatment centers fits seamlessly into this picture."

Creation of a training center based in Europe is part of TomoTherapy's vision for global training. The center will serve as a regional satellite of the International Technical Training Center at company headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin.

TomoTherapy Director of Organizational Development and Global Training Kelly Conway describes this vision for training as "a robust, centralized learning engine capable of providing consistent, hands-on training in any location."

The May 23rd celebration of the TomoTherapy Incorporated - University Radiotherapy Center partnership was attended by leaders from the government and medical communities in Belgium. TomoTherapy co-founder Dr. Thomas "Rock" Mackie also addressed the gathering.
