Generic Medical Devices Announces U.S. Sales Force as First Generic Devices Go to Market

New U.S. Fields Sales Team Will Sell First Generic Medical Devices to Hospitals and Ambulatory Surgical Centers

GIG HARBOR, WA--(Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network)--Jun 4, 2007 -- Generic Medical Devices, Inc.(TM) (GMD(TM)), the first company to design, develop, manufacture and supply quality surgical products marketed at generic prices, today announced the establishment of a U.S. Field Sales Team as the company begins to actively sell its family of generic devices and acquire new customers. Following on the heels of FDA 510(k) clearance of the company's first two products, the Universal Circumcision Clamp and the Universal Surgical Mesh, GMD has completed the final stage of market preparation by hiring a highly experienced and motivated sales team charged with introducing low-cost, high-quality generic devices to the domestic healthcare system.

The Field Sales Team will be composed of four Regional Sales Directors who will manage a comprehensive network of Independent Sales Representatives and Distributors. Bruno T. Bisceglia, Jr. will direct the sales effort in the West, Rick Bingham will manage the Northeast, and Gerard Adams will provide the leadership in the Southeast. A fourth director in charge of the Central District will be named soon. Adams, Bingham, and Bisceglia bring a combined 88 years of healthcare sales experience to support the launch of the generic medical device industry.

"With FDA clearance of our first two products, domestic healthcare organizations are showing growing interest in GMD and we are excited about the opportunity to provide generic devices to new customers," said Ron Bromfield, vice president of Sales and Marketing. "Bruno, Rick and Gerard are all highly qualified, motivated sales executives with direct experience selling into the urology market. The Field Sales Team is critical to helping communicate GMD's goal of providing efficacious, low-cost surgical devices to a domestic healthcare system in dire need of fiscal reform. We anticipate that their addition to our experienced team will drive rapid and successful adoption of generic devices."

Prior to GMD, Bruno Bisceglia served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Cognitive Screening Services, where he participated in the development of the company's applications and was responsible for bringing products to market. Before joining Cognitive Screening Services, Bisceglia was founder and Rep. Principle for Healthcare Communication Solutions, an information technology solution provider for physician groups, practice management systems and healthcare organizations, where he closed the largest Electronic Medical Records sale in the history of one of his EMR customers. Bisceglia has also held sales positions at AssistMed, Cardiotronics Systems, Western Medical Systems and AmTech. Bisceglia is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles.

Richard Bingham has worked for a wide variety of medical startups and established industry leaders. Prior to joining GMD, Bingham served as Midwest Regional Manager at Caldera Medical where he reversed a downward sales trend in less than four months. Before joining Caldera, Bingham held sales and management positions at Tri-anim Health Services, AKSM/Genesis, Argomed, American Medical Systems, Inc. and Bard Urological, in addition to serving as a project management consultant with several healthcare firms. He spent eight years at American Medical Systems where he produced a 427 percent increase in revenue and won the Regional Sales Person of the Year and the David Pelletier award two consecutive times. Bingham is a graduate of Kenyon College.

Before joining the GMD team, Gerard Adams worked as a sales executive for Cord Blood Solutions and Bard Urological, where he led his division in sales of biological grafts for four years and was a Top 10 sales representative in 2001 and 2003. Adams is a graduate of the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa.
