The announcement of the new CFO and VP Marketing hires comes on the heels of Cayenne closing a $12.7 million Series B equity financing round and FDA market clearance for the company's platform AperFix(TM) System for ACL reconstruction. AperFix enables surgeons to perform a revolutionary, five-minute surgical procedure resulting in total repair of the ACL. Cayenne has now completed its limited market release and will be commercially launching the AperFix system domestically within the next 30-60 days.

"We're proud to continue adding richly experienced executives such as Dan and Tim to our senior executive team at Cayenne Medical," said James W. Hart, Cayenne's President and CEO. "We have assembled a first rate team here at Cayenne," added Hart. "Ideally positioning us for our next big step as an organization - the nationwide commercial launch of our platform ACL technology, AperFix."

The AperFix System, in a revolutionary, five-minute surgical procedure, provides active aperture compression and fixation with strong, rigid femoral and tibial implants made of polyetheretherketone (PEEK(TM)). Cayenne's inserter handles facilitate rapid delivery of strong, rigid implants while simultaneously tensioning the graft to reduce laxity.
