Cannuflow Announces Availability of New Cannulated Obturator for EntreVu EXExtends Cannuflow’s Innovative Total Shoulder Arthroscopy Fluid Management Solution
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 4, 2007 --(HSMN NewsFeed)--Cannuflow Inc., a leading developer and supplier of state-of-the-art arthroscopic fluid management devices, today announced that a reusable cannulated obturator (Ref. # CO EVEX-7) is now available for its recently released EntreVu(tm) EX instrument cannula (Ref. # EVEX-7-7T).
A breakthrough in instrument cannula design for shoulder and hip arthroscopies, in addition to offering all the functionality of a conventional instrument cannula, EntreVu is the first to actively drain extravasating joint fluids, visibly reducing swelling of interstitial tissues. Minimizing extravasation may reduce some of the complications typically associated with shoulder and hip arthroscopies, as well as help to ensure the surgeon has the time necessary to complete the procedure arthroscopically.
The cannulated obturator is made of durable stainless steel (4mm ID, 6.75mm OD, 114mm working length, 190mm overall length) and is designed to integrate easily with the EntreVu cannula to provide an easy-to-use cannula driver system. The obturator also features an ergonomic handle that provides superior grip and control.
A privately held Silicon Valley-based company, Cannuflow develops, manufactures and markets specialty arthroscopy medical products that deliver innovative solutions to the chronic arthroscopic fluid-management problems of flow, visibility and extravasation. Designed to enhance procedure efficiency and safety, the company’s ClearVu(tm), TwoVu(tm) and Extravastat(tm) (EntreVu(tm) EX and TwoVu EX) devices easily integrate into surgeons’ existing surgical techniques.
