21st Century Oncology to Acquire Six TomoTherapy(R) Hi-Art(R) Treatment Systems
MADISON, Wis.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--TomoTherapy (NASDAQ: TTPY ) today announced that 21st Century Oncology, which operates the largest network of free-standing radiation oncology centers in the world, has placed an order for six TomoTherapy® Hi-Art® treatment systems. The units are scheduled for future installation in Florida and California, and possibly other locations.The agreement with 21st Century reflects the healthcare industry's growing desire for the Hi-Art system's advanced image-guided, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IG/IMRT) capabilities. TomoTherapy currently has more than 125 units installed in treatment centers worldwide.
