Novation Awards Agreement to Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics to Provide Portfolio of Chemistry, Immunochemistry and Automation Solutions
TARRYTOWN, N.Y.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics (www.usa.siemens.com/medical) announced today that it has been awarded an agreement with Novation, the healthcare contracting services company of VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), two national health care alliances to provide chemistry, immunochemistry and automation solutions to VHA, UHC and Healthcare Purchasing Partners International (HPPI) members. This agreement signifies the continued growth between Siemens and Novation and is effective July, 2007."Through our full range of laboratory solutions, we will be able to help assist Novation alliance members to increase their laboratory productivity while achieving high quality patient results," said John Nosenzo, senior vice president and general manager, Americas Region, Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics. Novation UHC, VHA and HPPI members will be offered Siemens' full line of ADVIA® Chemistry Systems including the ADVIA 2400, 1800, and 1200 as well as immunochemistry systems such as the ADVIA Centaur® XP and CP and IMMULITE® 2500, 2000 and 1000. With a throughput of 1200 - 2400 tests per hour, the ADVIA chemistry product line delivers powerful results and offers a flexible, comprehensive menu with open channels. Laboratorians will utilize the ADVIA Centaur CP Immunoassay System alongside the Centaur XP to achieve expansive collaboration through a broad range of disease state assay groups. The IMMULITE family enables STAT, routine, allergy and esoteric testing to be performed on a single platform and can also be enhanced by the Sample Management System (SMS) which increases capacity and connectivity to track-based systems.
