KCI Advances Global Wound Care Strategy with the Appointment of New Global V.A.C. Therapy PresidentSAN ANTONIO--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Kinetic Concepts, Inc. (NYSE:KCI ), a global medical technology company with leadership positions in advanced wound care and therapeutic surfaces, today announced the appointment of Linwood "Woody" Staub to the newly-created position of Global V.A.C. Therapy President. The appointment is part of a broader plan to globally align the Company's advanced wound care strategy. In this role, Mr. Staub will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for KCI's worldwide V.A.C.® Therapy product portfolio.
Mr. Staub brings over 20 years of global experience in the medical devices space, and comes to KCI from Johnson & Johnson's Ethicon division where his experience includes serving as Vice President in their U.S. and European wound management businesses. Mr. Staub also opened and served as General Manager for Johnson & Johnson's new urology business in Asia Pacific. These regions are key geographies for KCI's future growth plans.

Mr. Staub received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business and Economics from Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia and has completed continuing education in his field at the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, University of Virginia Darden School of Business and Harvard University.
