Tru-Blu(TM) Light Treatment Approved for Acne

BEACHWOOD, Ohio, July 25 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- National Biological has received FDA approval to add the Tru-Blu(TM) to its extensive line of phototherapy products. Designed for a physician's office with its small footprint and ease of operation, the Tru-Blu(TM) will treat facial acne and the difficult to reach acne on the torso of the body. Since 40% of all acne lesions are located on an individual's back, the design of the Tru-Blu(TM) is ideal for resolution of these lesions in many patients.

Blue light treatment at 417 nm has been studied for years for the treatment of acne. Blue light therapy acts by killing the P. Acnes bacteria that causes acne. The Tru-Blu(TM) table-top device provides light from high-output fluorescent lamps. Treatments are painless, non-invasive, effective, and safe for all ages. Acne is often resolved after 10-12 sessions.

National Biological Corporation, established in 1967, is the innovator of home phototherapy, and the world's largest manufacturer of clinical phototherapy equipment for the treatment of skin disease including severe psoriasis, vitiligo, eczema and now acne. The company's products are listed with the Food and Drug Administration.
