TomTec Introduces a New 4D Solution for Right Ventricular Diagnostics
MUNICH, Germany--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Just one year after TomTec's introduction of the first commercially available software for right ventricular analysis based on 3D ultrasound data, a new version of the 4D RV-Function© software will be launched at the European Society of Cardiology congress 2007 in Vienna. The new 4D RV-Function© software with its new routine oriented clinical workflow is easy to use and fast while delivering reproducible measurements.
These improvements are the results of a new workflow concept. The software allows the physician to completely analyze the right ventricle just by referring to familiar anatomical structures. This can easily be accomplished even without any experiences in 3D echocardiography.
Precise knowledge of right ventricular function is important in cases such as heart failure and pulmonary and congenital heart disease, where it has proven itself as major determinant of clinical outcome.
Fast and accurate quantification has an immediate impact in managing and treating patients with such conditions.
"With this new application TomTec takes a further step to integrate three-dimensional echocardiography into clinical routine" said Frank Schlau, TomTec's Senior Vice-President for Sales and Marketing.
