Cook Urological Names Derek Voskuil General Manager
10-year Cook Medical Veteran Will Oversee Production, Manage New Expansion ProjectSPENCER, Ind.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Derek Voskuil, a 10-year veteran of the Cook Medical organization with extensive experience in production, operations and quality assurance, has been named general manager of Cook Urological effective immediately.
"Derek brings a proven track record of efficiency and vision to this new position, and everyone here is excited to have him bring his many talents to bear on the many opportunities we have," said Pete Yonkman, president of Cook Urological.

Voskuil began his career with Cook 10 years ago in the Quality Assurance department of Cook Incorporated. During his tenure with Cook Inc., he served as a production manager and most recently worked with director of operations Dave Volz in operations management at the company's global headquarters in Bloomington, Ind.
In October of 2006, Voskuil transferred to Cook Urological to serve as operations manager while maintaining his duties at Cook Incorporated. Over the past few months he has spent the majority of his time at Cook Urological working closely with the manufacturing groups on efficiency, priority systems and management techniques. He holds a B.A. degree from Hope College in Michigan, and earned an M.F.A. degree from the University of Iowa in 1995. In 1997, he was awarded an M.A. degree by Indiana University.
Voskuil will continue focusing his efforts on improving efficiency and communication between Cook Urological's two strategic business units, Cook Urology and Cook Women's Health, and the operations group to ensure the company continues to deliver innovative, high-tech products to the marketplace. He also will be involved extensively in the major expansion and renovation of the Spencer facility that will begin in mid-2008.
