BIOTRONIK, Inc., Announces Co-Marketing Agreement with MedSource LLC
New Deal Will Add Advanced Patient Monitoring Equipment to BIOTRONIK PortfolioLAKE OSWEGO, Ore.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--BIOTRONIK, Inc. announced today a distribution agreement with Stillwater, MN-based MedSource LLC that will allow the BIOTRONIK sales force to begin distributing advanced patient monitoring equipment and diagnostic devices.
“Patient monitoring is a vital component for physicians treating patients with cardiac rhythm disorders, and every day it only seems to gain in importance,” stated Tom Brown, Executive Vice President, BIOTRONIK, Inc. “Advanced monitoring equipment gives physicians access to more complete and more accurate patient data, without necessarily increasing time commitments. Physicians are familiar with the improvement in patient care with the use of some of these state-of-the-art systems. We hope this arrangement will allow our field force to bring these advanced products to our physician-customers and the patients who depend on them.”
In particular, the new distribution agreement allows BIOTRONIK to represent the MedSource MultiView Holter, the only Holter monitor currently available that offers signal-averaged, late potential analysis as well as multi-mode, multi-channel, multi-day recordings. Other products included in this deal are automatic external defibrillators, an ambulatory blood pressure monitor, and Holter software products.
The BIOTRONIK-MedSource LLC agreement also includes automatic external defibrillators and some future products, currently in development.
