Parascript Enters Medical Imaging Breast Cancer Detection Market With Established Image Analysis Technology

BOULDER, Colo., Nov. 14 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- Parascript, LLC, the image analysis and pattern recognition technology provider, today announced its entrance into the medical imaging market. Parascript AccuDetect is intended to help radiologists in the early detection of breast cancer during film-based or digital mammography exams. AccuDetect is a set of computer-aided detection algorithms designed to deliver the lowest false positive rates in the industry. High false-positive rates have been a major problem in the CAD industry resulting in increased patient call-back levels, unnecessary expense, patient anguish and pain. Parascript anticipates that existing false-positive rates can be reduced by 60 to 80 percent with the use of AccuDetect algorithms.
