Elekta to Supply Chu de Poitiers Hospital Center in France with Advanced Technology for Image Guided Radiation TherapyCHU (University Hospital Center) de Poitiers has selected Elekta (STO:EKTAB) as the main partner in an ambitious program to improve radiation therapy treatment capacity in the Poitou-Charente region. Replacing equipment from a different vendor, the hospital recently assigned Elekta to deliver three Elekta Synergy® digital linear accelerator systems for intensity modulated and image guided radiation therapy. The order is valued at close to EUR 5 M.
STOCKHOLM, Sweden--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Regulatory News: Intensity modulated and image guided radiation therapy (IMRT & IGRT) has during the last couple of years become standard for new deliveries of radiation therapy solutions and Elekta Synergy is being established as the reference system for this more precise and accurate method for radiating cancer tumors.
CHU de Poitiers, the only Radiotherapy Center focusing on advanced radiation therapy in the Poitiers area has chosen to upgrade their facilities and replace older equipment from another vendor with three Elekta Synergy systems.
