Cook Medical Names Christina Anne Vice President for Its Women's Health Business Unit
BLOOMINGTON, Ind.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Christina Anné, an 18-year veteran of the Cook Medical organization, has been named vice president of the company’s rapidly growing women’s health business unit.“Women have unique and specific health concerns based on their body composition. To accurately and effectively address these issues, specialized tools and devices are needed. Cook Medical has recognized the need for customized, gender-based medical solutions, and from that the Women’s Health division was launched last year. My promotion to vice president is further evidence of the importance that Cook Medical places on the particular medical needs of women,” Anné said.
Anné’s promotion was announced in conjunction with two consecutive years of double digit growth in the Women’s Health ART and OB/GYN product lines.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to bring a person of Christina’s skill, experience and energy into the senior management team for Cook Medical,” said Kem Hawkins, president of Cook Medical. “Her direction has directly contributed to the success of this new division, and I am absolutely confident that as vice president, she will continue to drive Cook’s women’s health business unit to new levels of achieve in the coming years.”
Christina Anné, a native of Belgium, joined Cook in 1990. In 2004, she was named the global leader of Cook’s new women’s health strategic business unit. She began her career with Cook as district manager selling the company’s portfolio of assisted reproductive technology and gynecology products in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. After four years, she was promoted to European manager. Then, in 1998 she was promoted to manager for all Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
On October 1, 2004, she was named to become the first global leader of Cook Women’s Health, the company’s business unit that is solely devoted to the development and marketing of medical devices for the female patient.
