J. Raymond Elliott and Richard F. Wallman Join Bausch & Lomb Board of Directors

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Bausch & Lomb, the global eye health company, today announced that J. Raymond Elliott and Richard F. Wallman have joined its board of directors.

“Our board of directors is helping guide the company into an extended period of growth,” said Gerald M. Ostrov, board chairman and chief executive officer, Bausch & Lomb. “Ray and Richard further enhance the board’s expertise in global business expansion and healthcare markets. Mr. Elliott served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Zimmer Holdings, Inc. from 2001 until his retirement in 2007. Prior, Mr. Elliott spent almost 30 years in general management positions in the healthcare, media and consumer products industries. He began his career with American Hospital Supply Corporation, culminating in the role of president of the Far East divisions in Tokyo, Japan. Mr. Elliott recently joined the board of Boston Scientific Corporation. He holds a B.A. degree from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.

Mr. Wallman was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Honeywell International, Inc. from 1995 until his retirement in 2003. Prior, he was vice president and controller at IBM Corporation, and held leadership positions at Chrysler Corporation over the course of 14 years. He is a director of Ariba, Convergys, Hayes Lemmerz International, Lear Corporation, and Roper Industries. Mr. Wallman holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Elliott and Mr. Wallman join board members Joseph P. Landy, Elizabeth H. Weatherman and Sean D. Carney, all managing directors of Warburg Pincus LLC, and D. Scott Mackesy, general partner, Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe.
