Diversified Clinical Services Doubles Field Management

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 13 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- Setting the foundation for continuing the highest levels of customer satisfaction and rapid growth, Diversified Clinical Services (DCS) announced today that it doubled the number of first-line field managers. The largest provider of outsourced wound care, DCS will now have 20 Area Vice Presidents (AVP) under the direction of four regional senior vice presidents. With approximately 300 hospital partners nationwide, DCS continues to grow quickly and expects to add several dozen hospital customers during 2008.

With a focus on providing personal service to its hospital partners, DCS structured its field team in a manner that enables more face-to-face contact with every customer.

"We are committed to fully understanding our customers' needs and exceeding their expectations," said Jeff Nelson, CEO, DCS. "Expanding our field team enables us to spend more time working with each Center to continuously evaluate and improve its performance."

With the largest wound care database in the world, DCS benchmarks outcomes, physician performance and patient satisfaction against its other 300 Wound Care Centers®. Its comprehensive database enables the company to identify outliers and take appropriate actions to help lead centers outside the expected performance levels to success.

After partnering with DCS in 2006, Jackson Hospital CEO Don Henderson said, "As a result of the first year of operations, we have seen a 40 percent increase in the total number of patients that we are seeing and also a 40 percent increase in revenues, which has been more than meeting our expectations."

With an aging population and an increase in medical conditions, like diabetes, more Americans are acquiring wounds that do not respond to regular medical care. Partnering with hospitals to heal these chronic wounds, DCS provides state-of-the-art therapies that often help patients avoid amputations.

"At any given point, it is estimated that there are 7 million Americans dealing with chronic wounds," said Nelson. "Achieving healing rates of 90 percent at almost all of our Wound Care Centers, Diversified provides the experience, capabilities and resources to help hospitals more easily meet a growing need."
