About Spineology

Founded in 1996 by the late Dr. Stephen Kuslich, Spineology has become a MIS pioneer in the spinal implant industry. Dr. Kuslich invented the OptiMesh implant to enable spine surgery to be done in a minimally invasive manner. It works by allowing the implant to be inserted empty and then deployed to its full size, once in position. Spineology began commercial operations in 2002. OptiMesh products are currently FDA-cleared in the United States. Spineology is headquartered in St. Paul, Minn. For more information, please visit
