Naviscan PET Systems to Place High-Resolution PET Scanner at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center
SAN DIEGO, April 2, 2008 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- Naviscan PET Systems, a privately held company specializing in the development of high-resolution PET scanners, announced today that a contract has been signed to place a scanner on-site at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Naviscan's PEM Flex(TM) Solo II system is 510(k) cleared and has been sold commercially since the second quarter of 2007.M. D. Anderson is planning to use the scanner to further explore current clinical indications and to monitor response to neoadjuvant therapy in breast cancer patients.
