Orthofix International Appoints Chief Compliance and Government Affairs Officer
BOSTON--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Orthofix International N.V. (NASDAQ: OFIX ) announced today that Denise Pedulla has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer effective as of June 9, 2008.Ms. Pedulla was formerly Vice President, Compliance, Regulatory and Government Affairs and Associate General Counsel for Fresenius Medical Care North America. She will be responsible for managing Orthofix’s domestic and international corporate compliance and government affairs programs. An attorney, Ms. Pedulla has more than 14 years of experience in health care regulatory compliance, having worked in-house and in private practice with for-profit and not-for-profit health care businesses in the areas of health care regulation and compliance program development and implementation. Ms. Pedulla will report to Orthofix’s CEO and will also have independent reporting obligations to the Audit Committee and the full Board of Directors.

Ms. Pedulla, 48, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Psychology from Boston College, a Masters of Public Health degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. Ms. Pedulla is also certified in health care compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association.
