B. Braun Wins Premier Contract for Full Line of Dialysis Products

BETHLEHEM, Pa., Feb. 10 -- (Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network) -- B. Braun Medical Inc. (B. Braun), a global leader in infusion therapy and pain management as well as a pioneer in passive safety devices and PVC-free and DEHP-free products, announced today that it has been awarded a three-year contract by Premier Purchasing Partners, LP for both hemodialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) dialysis products.

The contract, which became effective on November 1, 2008, offers Premier members - a network of approximately 2,100 hospitals and 53,000 healthcare facilities - access to contracted pricing on B. Braun's full line of dialysis products.

  • B. Braun's Dialog® Plus Hemodialysis System, incorporates the latest in state-of-the-art dialysis technology while offering convenient handling in an ergonomic design. The Dialog® Plus hemodialysis system achieves an ideal balance for ease of operation with a flat screen display to facilitate fast and easy handling, a wide selection of pre-programmed and user-definable treatment profiles and offers a closed system solution for the production of ultra-pure dialysis fluid.

  • Diapact® CRRT, the continuous renal replacement therapy system, allows the user to perform a wide range of high-flow intermittent or continuous renal replacement and plasma therapies. Unique features include an integrated plate warmer for the heating of infusion and dialysate fluids and a single-load cell weighing system.

This recent agreement adds to contracts that are currently in effect between B. Braun and Premier, including one covering B. Braun's full-line of IV therapy products that began in the early fall of 2008.
