HyperBranch Medical Technology, Inc. Licenses OcuSeal Liquid Ocular Bandage to BD
DURHAM, N.C.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--HyperBranch Medical Technology, Inc., announced today the licensing of the Company’s OcuSeal Liquid Ocular Bandage to BD. OcuSeal is a fully synthetic ocular bandage designed as a temporary protective barrier to provide comfort for post-surgical, post-traumatic, and non-traumatic ocular conditions. BD Medical – Ophthalmic Systems, a unit of BD, has an exclusive worldwide license from HyperBranch to market OcuSeal for use in ophthalmology. It will immediately begin to commercialize the product internationally.HyperBranch has been marketing and selling the OcuSeal Liquid Ocular Bandage since receiving CE Mark in December 2007 through independent distributors. The product is designed to help decrease surgery time, reduce the need for sutures and reduce complications typically associated with surgical incisions, including infection and patient discomfort. It is intended for direct application on corneal, conjunctival, and scleral surfaces.
