American Medical Systems Announces New General Manager of BPH Therapy Business
MINNEAPOLIS--(HSMN NewsFeed)--American Medical Systems, Inc., (AMS) (NASDAQ: AMMD ) today announced the appointment of Joe W. Martin to the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager of its BPH Therapy Business.“Joe brings to AMS a wealth of experience and successful track record of leading medical products businesses similar to our BPH Therapy unit, which has capital equipment with trailing disposable components,” said AMS President and CEO Anthony P. Bihl, III. “His ability to focus and execute business strategy in this market makes him a great addition to our AMS team as we continue to grow our BPH Therapy Business.”
Martin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing and accounting from the University of Houston. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Gaymar Industries, Inc.
Martin will report directly to the CEO and become a member of AMS’ executive management team. Working together with the BPH team already in place, Martin will focus on expanding and maximizing AMS' BPH Therapy Business to its fullest potential.
