Perrigo Announces FDA Approval for Sulfacetamide Sodium Topical Suspension USP, 10% (Lotion)ALLEGAN, Mich., March 24 (Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network) -- Perrigo Company (Nasdaq: PRGO; TASE) today announced that it has received final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market Sulfacetamide Sodium Topical Suspension, 10% (Lotion).
The product has been determined to be therapeutically equivalent (AB) to sanofi-aventis' KlaronŽ (Sodium Sulfacetamide) Lotion, 10%, which is indicated for the topical treatment of acne. KlaronŽ Lotion had sales of approximately $15 million for the 12 months ended January 2009, as measured by Wolters Kluwer Health.
