Merit Medical Announces 510(k) Clearance

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah, April 15, 2009 -- (Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network) -- Merit Medical Systems, Inc. (NasdaqGS:MMSI ), a leading manufacturer and marketer of proprietary disposable devices used primarily in cardiology, radiology and gastroenterology procedures, announced today that it has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for the 55 cm ProGuide(tm) Chronic Dialysis Catheter.

This device, which is implanted percutaneously, is used for attaining long-term vascular access for hemodialysis and apheresis.
