Celerus Diagnostics Adds International Distribution Expert to Management Team

Addition Accelerates Company’s Global Growth

CARPINTERIA, Calif.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Celerus Diagnostics today announced the addition of Dr. Andrea Bertolini to its Management Team, spear-heading the company’s expansion into global markets.

“As Celerus began looking at international markets, we turned to Dr. Bertolini,” said Dave Gross, CEO. “He’s a tremendous asset to our team, and we’ll benefit greatly from his expertise as we expand into the world arena.”

With more than 15 years in diagnostic sales, distribution and product management, Dr. Bertolini has held key positions with industry leaders throughout Europe, including Dako, LabVision, BioGenex and Bio-Optica. Adding to Wave System distributors already in place in Spain and the United Kingdom, Dr. Bertolini will continue building a network of distributors in Europe, with other markets including Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, being added rapidly thereafter.

“The technology of the Celerus Wave(TM) System is compelling and dramatic,” Dr. Bertolini said. “With the ability to produce IHC (immunohistochemistry) results in 15 minutes, it will significantly and positively impact pathologists, surgeons and patients around the world.”

A native of Lecco, Italy, Dr. Bertolini holds a degree in Biology from the University of Milano and also studied at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. He is recognized internationally for his depth of knowledge in immunohistochemistry, molecular biology and an extensive understanding of international trade regulations and compliance.

“I expect that our initial partnerships will be established in Europe and Asia,” Dr. Bertolini explained. “We have great ambition and resources however, and will be working diligently to bring the benefits of Rapid IHC(TM) and the Celerus Wave System to laboratories and cancer patients globally.”
