Blacktoe Medical Expands Executive Team With New CEO and VP of Sales in Anticipation of Commercial Product Launch

PORTLAND, OR., Aug 5 --(HSMN NewsFeed)-- Blacktoe Medical announces the expansion of their Executive Team with the recent hiring of Mike Temple as Chief Executive Officer, and earlier this year, Scott Ronk as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development

Mike Temple joins Blacktoe Medical with 20 years of executive experience in both technology driven and traditional manufacturing companies. His experience with medical device companies includes positions as Executive Vice President and General Manager at publicly traded Bioject Medical Technologies, CFO at venture-backed Inovise Medical Inc. and CFO at Instromedix Inc. Other technology sector experience includes roles as COO/CFO at open source software industry consortium Open Source Development Labs and Founder/CFO at Internet start-up upright Systems Inc.

"Mike is a proven leader who understands the medical device business," said Ronald Schutz, M.D., Founder and Chairman of Blacktoe Medical. Scott Ronk brings 20 years of experience in the diagnostic imaging and ultrasound industry to Blacktoe Medical. As a manager at Acuson Corporation, he managed his sales team through the company's acquisition by Siemens Medical where he later held several key leadership roles, most recently as Vice President of Sales for Siemens' Ultrasound Division.
