VANCOUVER, Nov. 24 (Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network) - Heart Force Medical Inc., a Vancouver-based company that is developing a non-invasive cardiac assessment, monitoring and screening device announced today that it has appointed Issa Nakhleh as its Chief Financial Officer.

"Heart Force is at an inflexion point in its development as a company. To further our goals and objectives we have appointed an enthusiastic and forward thinking senior executive with a proven record of achievement in corporate finance and administration and regulatory compliance," said HFM's President and CEO, Dr Geoff Houlton. "Issa has previously demonstrated that he is a highly analytical and innovative individual focused on improving shareholder value with new concepts and technologies."

"Heart Force is ideally positioned to focus on the continuing development of the dBG300(TM) into the healthcare market," said Issa Nakhleh. "I am very pleased to be joining a strong team which is dedicated to improving the assessment of cardiac performance. The commercialization of the dBG 300 Digital Ballistocardiograph is certain to have a significant impact on access and costs that are associated with cardiac performance."

About Heart Force

Heart Force Medical Inc. (HFM) is a private company. In June 2009 HFM was the winner of the BC Technology Impact Association Award for most promising pre-commercial technology. It has invented and has patents pending for the digital Ballistocardiograph (dBG(TM)). The dBG 300, which is already certified in Canada and secured FDA certification in July 2009, captures the movement of the heart during each cardiac cycle (heart beat). This movement (acceleration and force) is sensed by an accelerometer aligned to the three principal axes and displayed on a computer screen using HFM's proprietary software. Preliminary evaluation has determined that a 10-30 second recording of the dBG waveform is sufficient for a detailed analysis of cardiac performance. The Heart Force dBG 300 device is a non-invasive, standalone, portable unit and contains sophisticated digital sensors and proprietary software.
