MAQUET Cardiovascular Awarded Three-Year Contract From Novation for Cardiopulmonary Products Used in Cardiac Surgery
WAYNE, N.J., Dec. 11 -- (Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network) -- MAQUET Cardiovascular LLC, a leading provider of cardiovascular technologies, announced today that it has signed a three-year contract with Novation, the industry's leading supply contracting company, to provide all of its cardiopulmonary (perfusion) products to the members of VHA Inc., University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) and Provista. The agreement becomes effective on January 1, 2010, and runs through December 31, 2012. MAQUET Cardiovascular's cardiopulmonary products are used in on-pump cardiac surgery and include heart-lung machines, the QUADROX-i family of generators, the ROTAFLOW Centrifugal Pump, the MECC (Minimized Extracorporeal Circulation) System, the PLEGIOX Cardioplegia Heat Exchanger, standard or customized tubing packs and a full line of adult, pediatric and ECMO cannulae."This agreement represents an important milestone for MAQUET Cardiovascular as it is our first GPO contract for cardiopulmonary products in the United States and underscores the value of our products to surgeons and perfusionists," said Raoul Quintero, President of MAQUET Cardiovascular U.S. Sales LLC.
