AGA Medical Announces Promotion of Three Senior ExecutivesJack Darby Named Senior Vice President, Global Marketing and Distributor Sales;

MINNEAPOLIS--(HSMN NewsFeed)--AGA Medical Holdings, Inc. (AGA Medical) (Nasdaq: AGAM ) today announced the promotion of three executives effective immediately. Jack Darby has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Global Marketing and Distributor Sales, Don O’Hearn has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Americas, and Gianluca Iasci has been promoted to Senior Vice President, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). The promotions reinforce AGA Medical’s commitment to global expansion and industry leadership.

As Senior Vice President, Global Marketing and Distributor Sales, Darby will continue to have responsibility for AGA Medical’s worldwide marketing effort, and manage Asia Pacific distributors with a particular focus on accelerating growth in key markets such as China, India and Japan. Darby joined AGA Medical in March 2007, most recently serving as Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and Distributor Sales. Prior to joining the company, he spent 14 years with CORDIS, a Johnson & Johnson company. Most recently, he served as its Vice President of Commercial Operations and Global Marketing.
As Senior Vice President, Americas, O’Hearn will continue to be responsible for AGA Medical’s direct sales in the United States and Canada, and will now also have responsibility for sales and distribution across Latin America. O’Hearn has served as Vice President, Sales North America for AGA Medical since March 2009. He previously held a number of positions during a 16-year tenure with Medtronic, Inc., most recently as its Vice President, U.S. Sales Operations and Field Education.
As Senior Vice President, EMEA, Iasci will continue to have responsibility for AGA Medical’s direct distribution in Europe, and will now also be responsible for managing its distributor relationships in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Iasci joined AGA Medical as its Senior Vice President, Europe in September 2009. He has 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, working with Johnson & Johnson, Guidant (since acquired by Boston Scientific) and St. Jude Medical in a variety of senior sales and marketing roles throughout Europe and the Asia Pacific.
