Sorin Group Announces Distribution Agreement with Cardiomedical GmbH for Cardio Vision(TM) Range of Minimally Invasive Surgical Instruments
Agreement Adds New Product Line to Sorin Core Heart Valves Business FranchiseMILAN--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Sorin Group, (Reuters Code: SORN.MI)(MIL:SRN), a global company and a leader in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, announced today that it has entered into a distribution agreement, effective May 1, 2010, with CardioMedical GmbH, making Sorin Group, CardioMedical’s selected partner for the entire Cardio Vision™ MIS Portfolio which is a comprehensive catalogue of minimally invasive cardiac surgery instruments and accessories.
The Cardio Vision™ product line is a range of Minimally Invasive Heart Valve Surgery (MIS) instruments including retractors, clamps, forceps, scissors and needle holders. Cardio Vision™ instruments were developed in cooperation with leading cardiac surgeons and include Cardio Vision™’s third generation of tubular shaft instruments incorporating state-of-the-art MIS technology.
