Cameron Health Appoints Ward Dykstra as Vice President of Global Marketing
Appointment Signals Accelerating Global Adoption of the S-ICD® System Designed to Treat Sudden Cardiac ArrestSAN CLEMENTE, Calif.--(Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network)-- Cameron Health, Inc., based in San Clemente, Calif., announced today that Ward Dykstra has been appointed its Vice President of Global Marketing.
Mr. Dykstra’s responsibilities at Cameron Health include expanding the company’s efforts to commercialize its S-ICD® System outside the United States and its preparation for US Market launch scheduled in 2013.
The S-ICD System is the first totally subcutaneous implantable defibrillator designed to provide life sustaining therapy to patients at risk of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). Cameron Health received CE mark approval for the S-ICD System in Europe in 2009 and is commercializing the device in Europe and New Zealand. It has been implanted in over 600 patients worldwide. In the United States, the S-ICD System is being studied in a 45-center FDA clinical trial.
Since 1998, Mr. Dykstra held a number of senior leadership positions in marketing, sales, training & development and medical affairs at Johnson & Johnson companies Cordis Corporation and Centocor, Inc. Most recently, he served as Director of Global Strategic Marketing for Cordis and spent two years in Japan as the Director of Marketing for the company’s interventional cardiology business. Mr. Dykstra received numerous leadership awards while at Johnson & Johnson for his accomplishments in marketing, organizational development, and new product launches.
