Globus Medical Appoints Daniel Lemaitre to Its Board of Directors
AUDUBON, Pa.--(Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network)-- Globus Medical, Inc., the largest privately held spinal implant manufacturer in the world, today announced it has appointed Daniel T. Lemaitre to serve as a member of the Company’s Board.Joining Globus, Mr. Lemaitre brings over 30 years of expertise in medical device and strategic business development. “The appointment of Dan to the Board of Directors will help to continue Globus’ momentum towards our goal of becoming the preeminent spine company,” said David Paul, Chairman and CEO of Globus Medical. “The depth of his medical device market knowledge coupled with his extensive experience on Wall Street will be of great benefit guiding Globus as we continue to break ground in the development of innovative solutions for all areas of spine.”
Dan Lemaitre is President and CEO of White Pine Medical, a venture-backed medical device start-up company. Prior to White Pine Medical, Mr. Lemaitre was President and CEO of CoreValve, where he helped lead the rapid growth of the company and orchestrated the sale to Medtronic in 2009. Before joining CoreValve, Mr. Lemaitre was Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at Medtronic. Mr. Lemaitre previously spent 28 years as an investment analyst covering medical devices.
Dan Lemaitre has a BA in Economics from Bethany College in West Virginia, and an MBA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He is a trustee for Lawrence Academy in Groton, Massachusetts and serves on the board of Endologix, Inc.
